There's still 2 more days for my birthday. I will be 22. It feels that I just turned 20 last year.
Somehow, the idea of marriage seems a lot more welcoming than living with my parents. It's not as if my parents and I can't get along. Its just that, I seem to be wanting/needing my boyfriend right beside me more than anything else.
Finally i got myself a good base foundation/powder whatever you call it. After roaming here and there and with plenty of foundation put and removed, I settled with M.A.C Mineralize Skin Finish Natural. Apart all the foundation even Bobbi Brown, this suited me best. Plus, i got Gaya to help me see it better. Headed to Starbucks where this woman introduced me one helluva sinful drink. Steamed Milk with Hazelnut i think? But one minus point was, it had some almond taste which I dont really like. But the milk was like damn nice. I never adored milk like I do now!
I guess I won't be getting much presents on my birthday as I got a handful throughout this month. *pouts*
2 days more!

25 August 2007 - the day where my baby and I experienced our very first road accident together.
We went to watch Dead Silence in Causeway Point. The movie started at 8.40pm. Firstly, the movie is damn great. Secondly, I am having doubts on my dolls. Hah. The movie is nicely taken. I suppose that sentence would be an understatement. You've got to see it in order to really know what I am talking about. So after a 90 minutes of grabbing my baby's t-shirt and hiding my face behind his shoulder, I decided to take cab with him to Jurong West. My parents were in Ashwin's house and my baby's house is just walking distance from there. We were in the cab seated all comfortably and we reached Jalan Bahar. My mom called to ask where I am, so that the kids and my dad could come down to fetch. I told her where I am and hung up.
All the while I was seated sideways and my legs were resting on my baby's leg. I hope you guys get the picture. When I reached Jurong, I seated up straight and we both were talking about the movie and stuff. We were near the Jurong Police Headquarters where the traffic light turned amber. I was like thinking, " Aiyah, why couldn't he have just sped up."
I realized that there was a police car on the right, waiting to make a turn. I turned to my left and there was a group of indian guys with a girl waiting to cross the road. Let me repeat again, I was talking to my boyfriend, seated upright, the cab slowed down in amber and stopped at the traffic light. So far, ok?
Then, the turning signal appeared and the police car also turned and went out of sight and it was then. That moment. There was this big bang at the back of the car and my boyfriend and I jerked forward and quickly bent down. We heard glass shatter and we had no idea what that bang was and where it came from. My heart was thumping, the taxi driver's things were at the rear seat, even his sunglasses was near my boyfriend's feet. For a moment I thought, this is it. I thought there was something going to bang me at the sides and all. Suddenly, the group of indian
guys came towards the taxi and tried opening my door. But it couldn't be open. Both rear seat doors were jammed due to the impact. My boyfriend's specs was missing and he couldn't see a thing. Lets just say he is as close to blindness without his specs.
I tried opening but the guy said our door is locked. Then another indian guy came and forced opened my door. Thank god, the door on my side opened. I couldn't even walk properly. My whole body was trembling from the impact. My boyfriend was still in the taxi finding for his specs. Its when I went to the traffic junction and looked at the whole accident and realized, it was this damn bloody lorry which hit us.
My baby looked badly shaken as well and he was giving his particulars to the driver. The taxi driver was very nice. He asked us if we were ok and even apologized to us though it wasn't his fault. Even the indian group, they asked us if we were ok and left shortly. Then, it was a string of calls made to the police and my parents. The lorry driver got down, made some phone calls and within 5 minutes, i assume, his relatives arrived. After a while, my dad, Rajan uncle, the police and the ambulance arrived. They took down our particulars and the paramedics just came to check if we were alright.
After all these time has past, my baby's specs still wasn't found. After 3 times of thorough search made by the taxi driver and the policeman, we finally found his specs. And, it was then that he saw the impact. While I went in to the ambulance to get my blood pressure checked, I heard the paramedic tell that the lorry driver had drank and I suppose he had failed the breath analyzer test.
That was one helluva experience man. We were still shaken by the incident. We went to Rajan uncle's house, washed our legs, drank water, prayed and left nearly 1am. My baby left earlier.
Looking bad, thank god I wasn't seated in my earlier position, I would probably be under the
seat and luckily I wasn't pregnant. Now, taking cab would never be the same for me and my baby.
My taxi was actually right infront of the lorry, but because the lorry banged the boot, the taxi jerked right past the pedestrian crossing. So you can imagine the impact.

Finally, with a new blogskin, I can blog. Not that the blogskin was the reason for my hiatus. But yeah. I am currently blogging from my workplace. I am so sleepy and bored. Well, not bored cause I am mass emailing the members. Sighs.
I just received a sms from my bestie saying that one of my secondary school classmate gave birth to a beautiful babygirl today. Not shotgun, but legal one.
hah. My Saturday was spent at the Salaam India held in Expo. Those who wanted to go, please thank your lucky stars that you didn't cause the expo wasn't worth it in the first place. All the things sold was way expensive. I saw this simple green kurta top with sequins and it was $150! I am so not kidding!
I am bored. Its been long since I went out with my bestie. Both of us have been busy after we started working but we still update each other with whatever that's happening in our lives. I guess thats how friendship works. You don't have to talk everyday nor do you have to see each other everyday. But when you meet up, its when hell breaks loose. hahaha.
On the other hand, I miss my baby alot. It has been a month since we went out together
alone. And ever since I started working, I can only afford to meet him once a week. Sighs.
SDU decided to renew my contract for another 6 months. My superior told me yesterday. Told her I will give her the answer today. I was contemplating whether to stick to it or find another job. I was afraid that I would get sick and tired of this job. But thinking harder, I better take up this chance as it is not easy to get a job very fast these days. So I guess I will be sticking around SDU till end Jan, depends.
I am broke. I can't wait for next week to get some money and do shopping. And also next next week, cause my pay will be in. hehhee.
I want my weekend to come fast!!

HI! I am back. :) Cause, tom is a holiday!
I know the sentence didnt make sense but who cares. This week has been a rather interesting and happy week. I got myself a new sexy
red mp3 player!! Btw, my theme now is Smokin Red! hah.

Isn't it gorgeous?? And, its quite efficient. It can store songs, photos, text and even has fm radio. It can act as a thumbdrive too. Its only $295 and furthermore its 4 gig! My newfound love, apart from my baby that is. :)
Then I got myself, a Disney chipmunk handphone holder. Its damn cute and also 4 pair of earrings and a chain. Ok, actually 2 pairs of earrings my new colleague, Thana, got it for me. She's such a sweet girl la, so full of life. So as you all must have concluded, I did some shopping this week. Not forgetting, highlighting my hair. lallalala.
Switching to another topic, I know most in the Indian community must have watched the auditions of Vasantham Central. There's only one thing that I dont understand, why are there Mediacorp people auditioning as well? As in, people who are already singing for Mediacorp shows and all, you guys have the media exposure and have had the chance to sing in Mediacorp, give others a chance to be in ur place. Would it die for you to be others-centered?? I am not saying you cant join, but I see repeated Mediacorp faces, which I think its just unnecessary. I am not going to comment much on the judges, cause I am not a singer, so I dont know if they are judgement is correct or not. But compared to the previous auditions, I prefer this panel of judges.
Digression in process.....
I have finally watched Sivaji on Sat. What was supposed to be an outing of only 3 turned out to be an outing of 9 people joining us for the movie. Hah. As for the movie, it took me by surprise as how Rajini looked so young and actually did movements in his dance sequences. Shreya looked stunningly hot la, wish I had a body like hers man. God. Plus, the song scenes were damn nice. I dont mind watching it again, but if the tickets are at $10. haha.
OK, I am too tired. I am just waiting for 12am to strike to wish my dearest bestie! Its her birthday tom plus the country's!

It has definitely been a while. After work, I am just so tired that I cant get myself to even come online. Its not that my work is taxing but the journey and also not forgetting my tuition which is on every weekday evening. God. Half of my money will go on transportation.
Well, I am working as a management support officer under marketing communications in SDU. The work is interesting and still is a learning journey. I dread having to wake up early in the morning and travelling with kiasu workaholics. God, is it so hard for them to move? SO damn irritating.
Managed to watch Knock Up at AMK Hub and I must say the place is not too bad, a lot of clothing shops which I must visit again. But people who are going there, please bring a jacket!! The place is like an igloo not that I have been to one but yeah. On the other hand, the movie was hilarious and taken as realistic as they could.
Im sleepy and tired. Sighs. I cant even stay up sia. god. BYE!
