First, I would like to wish all ladies a very Happy Mother's Day!
Why I say all ladies and not specifically say mothers only is because though we aren't mothers yet, we do have something called maternal instincts. And, most women tend to be motherly to those whom they love and care most. One day we will become mothers to our own children or to others knowingly or unknowingly. So yeah, let this day be a reminder of how special women are. :)
Made full use of the weekend. :)
Had to get up at 9plus on Saturday cause of two phonecalls by my aunt. SIGHS. There goes my sleep. Was feeling nervous and excited cause my baby said he was going to be 'released' from camp after lunch. Everytime we plan for a meet up, something screws up. As soon as I woke up, switched on my phone expecting a last minute cancellation sms by him. But surprisingly, there was no sms. Took my shower and went to check my hp again and there was the dreaded sms.
Him: Guess what..
Me: Ok. So you will only be 'released' at night right?
Him: I M OUTTA CAMP LA... Wahahhahahaha.
Me: ..... :
And by 3pm, he was at my doorstep! Finally, after 1 solid month, I met him! Spend our very much-needed time at home. Poor boy was so drained from all the training that while lying down beside me and watching the hindi movie, he ended up falling asleep! Headed to Bottle Tree Park at Khatib for dinner with parents and him. The initial plan was to head to this seafood restaurant at YCK. The first time my parents and I went was when I signed up for my driving. But sadly when we reached there, we realised the shop wasn't even there anymore. So made a detour to Khatib. After fulfilling dinner, headed back home and lazed around.
Sunday was Mother's day! Went to Banana Leaf Apollo Restaurant as my mom wanted to have lunch there. After another fulfilling, tummy satisfying lunch, parents and I headed to City Hall and did some mini shopping there. Got two gorgeous earrings, a pretty white top and some stuff which can't be said here. Hahah.
By the time we were done, it was already 6plus. Decided to head to Ashwin's place for dinner. Couldn't really eat much at the seafood place. Had a bad experience with a rude cab driver while coming back.
You see, we took this Citycab at Jurong West. A few minutes after we boarded, my dad asked if he could increase the aircon. Ok fine, he did. Then my dad asked if he could lower the radio as it was a bit loud. But he didn't do anything. Then my dad repeatedly called out to him and he just continued looking straight at the traffic light. He just simply ignorantly refused to lower the radio volume much less even reply to what my dad said. We got off after the traffic light and my dad has already lodged a complaint!
Damn annoying. Now I know why some taxi drivers deserved to get beaten up!
Driving has been ok so far. Still cannot get the hang of the clutch control but there's still improvement. :P
Meeting baby tomorrow and here's to another week of work!
