"To find the balance you want, " Ketut spoke through his translator, "this is what you must become. You must keep your feet grounded so firmly on the earth that it's like you have four legs instead of two. That way, you can stay in the world. But you must stop looking at the world through your head. You must look through your heart, instead. That way, you will know God."
Bought this book, Eat Pray Love, at Kino on Friday before heading to SSDC for my first driving practical. The book is fabulous. At certain times, I feel like I can relate to the author. I am not going to say anything about the book. If you want, you can go and get it yourself and have a good read!

May Day! Made plans with Durga to watch
U Me Aur Hum and headed to Jade togetherwith her sister. We are the only goons who will take a cab from Bugis to go to Jade. It's all Durga's fault. The movie is damn damn nice la. Reminds me of The Notebook. But I pray, from the bottom of my heart, that no couple/family should go through what they did. It's just too painful. I can't put myself in neither Ajay's nor Kajol's role. Speaking of Ajay, I have never liked him from the start and have always wondered what did Kajol see in him. But now I know. His acting was damn good man. He reminds me of Sanju a bit. His perseverance, the love he has to offer, the faith he has on the relationship.
And, there is a new addition to my bestie's family on May Day. A cute babygirl was born to her sis-in-law, Kumari. Congratulations!! One thing I hate to go to Jade is because of the people there. I know that a lot of Indian Nationals go there to watch Hindi movies and again I do not have anything against them. Just that, why can't they control or discipline their kids? There was this family whose kid was running up and down the stairs and the parents just continued watching the movie. No sense of responsibility towards the child. Grrr.
And so, I went for my first driving practical. I was excited but more nervous. Saw my car number which I was assigned to and went in search for it. There were so many cars and was afraid I might get into the wrong car. Thankfully, I spotted the car just in time before I got lost in the circuit. It was good experience and though I was a nervewreck and my car engine stalled a few times, the instructor said I was pretty good for a beginner. *smiles widely* I was able to turn and still maintain in the same line which is good as I have no prior experience to handling a car before. My instructor was kind enough not to shout at me for stalling the engine a couple of times and also stopping the car abruptly thinking that I might hit the car infront. Lol. Just need some coordination in my legs for my clutch control. Oh well. Hopefully, there will be more improvement on Thurs and Fri. :)

Met up with Gaya on Saturday at Orchard and headed to Starbucks for some girl talk. Hahh. But this time instead of spending a couple of hours talking, we did some walking and shopping! She needed to get a bag so headed to Tangs where she got this nice looking bag and we headed to Borders to do book shopping. Bookworm me got 2 books!
To Kill A Mocking Bird and
Jodie Picoult's Picture Perfect.
Can't wait to start on those two since I have been having plenty of time to myself. It's been a month since I saw/met my baybeeboo. But thinking about it, it's kinda good. I mean too much of something isn't healthy, but then again we don't really meet up very often also and absence makes the heart grow fonder. :) I have alot of 'me' time to myself which is what I need/want right now. This 'seperation' is healthy but if it takes too long then I do not know. Hahha.
Yesterday was a typical lazy Sunday. Spent the whole day lazing around and it does not help especially since the new air-con got fixed on Friday.
Heading to Jurong for dinner after work cause today is Ashwin's father's birthday.
Sadly, my colleagues Aishah and Suguna got shifted to the 2nd level. Sighs. It's so boring without them. Can't bitch or talk. Btw, my office bungalow building has only 2 levels. It's like those old colonial bungalow. Damn nice but then again we have heard sightings of a paranormal from the security guards before. Freaky.
Oh well, back to work now!
