Finally, the post I have been wanting to blog ever since I got back from Brisbane.
Warning: Picture Overload.
We left on the 6th at night and though I was feeling nostalgic about the whole trip, I wouldn't deny that I was hoping it would be a memorable one. And, memorable indeed. My funny bones was tickled endlessly by the jokes of Dj Rafi and Raja.
My first impression of Raja wasn't that good. Of course I was quick to judge. Within the second day, everyone conversed with each other and we became one big family of 68 people. We landed in Brisbane on Saturday morning, 10plus if I'm not wrong. Was a bit jet-lagged after the 7 hour flight. We went for a city tour first before checking in to our hotel, Mantra Legends located at Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast.
SaturdayAfter checking in, we had our lunch just opp our hotel and headed back to rest for our evening event. We were to head to Conrad Jupiter for an extravagant show. Sadly, no cameras were allowed. But, it was one damn good breath-taking show. One that will stay in my mind forever.

That's our view from our hotel room.

Me at the lobby.
SundayWe headed to
Movie World and there my dad, Rafi and Raja played most of the thrilling rides we could!

The Super-man Rollercoaster. Damn terrifying ride!

After Movie World, we headed back to the hotel for a brief rest and headed to
Australian Outback Spectacular where they would feature horseshows in an auditorium setting with built-in tables so we could dine and watch the show at the same time. Cameras were not allowed for this too. We could only take it outside. :(

Ok, it's not like I have not seen a rainbow before. But thought it was kinda nice feeling to see a rainbow even though you're in some foreign place.

Me and Gabrielle Shivani(Gabby). One of the most beautiful girls I have seen.

This place has a beautiful view but it was damn damn cold cause it had just rained. And, to top it off it was freaking windy. At this point, my face felt it was left in the freezer for 5mins.

Monday
Nice view at the Tropical Fruit Farm. I realized it will be kind of daft of me to post pictures of tropical fruits cause we can see them in Singapore. So, I will post pictures which can't be find in here.

Macademia Nuts! In case you didn't know, Macadamia nuts can be found in Ferrero Rochere.

This was also at the Tropical Fruit Farm.

Some bond they shared.
TuesdayThis was at
Dreamworld. It's called the
Town of Terror. The car will zoom past right up and drop back vertically. Didn't try this ride. Hahhaa, didn't have the heart for it. :P

Felt like a kid when I saw this!

The Claw! Another freaky ride. My legs are up there as well. But not sure which one is it. Haha.

Hopped on the helicopter ride at Dreamworld. Below is a bird-eye view of Dreamworld.

A weighing machine. Cool huh?

This is one anti-social Kangaroo. Kept sitting there throughout.

After this picture was taken, this fella nicely shifted his backside with the support of his legs and turned the other side.

No shame. These two birds they could get away with their PDA. Haha!

Tasmanian Devil.
On our way to some island. Did parasailing with my dad on the way. Another experience I will never forget. :)

After we reached the island, we had food, games and an impromptu dance floor!
FridayMarked the end of a wonderful trip where new friendships were found and memories that were meant to stay. :)
21st June, SaturdayMet up with Sajetha and Durga at Vivo. Sometimes people change either for the good or bad. There's only this much we can say, the rest is up to their own sense to see what they are doing result in a gain or loss. I hope time can tell.
Met up with babyboo to watch Kungfu Panda. It's been more than 2 months since we watched a movie together. Not only did I enjoy the company but also the movie. It was damn damn funny though some parts weren't practical. But overall, it was a very entertaining movie.
Thursday was Ashiwin's birthday and I have got pictures of that plus the girls outing that will be up in the next post.
Friday met up with Thana and Durga at Orchard for some catching up after her birthday bash. Will post pictures of that too.
Saturday was supposed to meet babyboo again but he got called up. Oh yeah. His school will start in October because he's awaiting result for something. I am so excited! Hopefully he gets it. But then again, it means more call up till Sept. Not sure if he will be around for my birthday also. :(
I am currently waiting for 11th July. More info next week!! :)
Went to Expo on Saturday with Gaya for the Book Warehouse Sale. Saw some books which I have already read. Though this time the books weren't that impressive, I left with around 5 books for only $36! I love my books. :)
Went to watch much anticipated movie for most, including my dad, Dasavatharam. The movie was ok, Kamal's various roles of course left me dumb-struck. Loved the first 15mins of the movie of which they will decide whether Lord Shiva or Lord Vishnu is better. Love the first song of the movie. It's good to know that at least some people in Kollywood are thinking out of the box and coming up with new storylines or at least new type of movies compared to the normal masala dance-around-the-coconut-tree.
More pictures will be up in the next post.
Cheers!
