On the eve of my birthday, went to visit bestie's dad at TTSH as he had just underwent some knee op. After that headed down to Bishan for my mani/pedi while mom headed to Expo to meet dad, Ashiwin and all for shopping. The John Little sale again.
Was supposed to meet baby to watch Wall-E after my mani/pedi but sadly he smsed saying he had to report to camp for some guard duty and will only be back on Sun morning. Of course I can't deny that I felt a tad disappointed but since he already told them he won't be able to report to camp on Sun, guess they called him on Sat. Sighs.
After mani/pedi, headed straight home and relaxed. About 1140pm, baby called me to book his time slot first(tsk tsk). Talked to him for a while afterwhich he hung up abruptly about 5mins after 12. Thinking that someone must have called him up, I hung up too. Slowly, the wishes came, first from my mom. My mom said dad was sleeping in the hall if not he would have wished me already. I wasn't disappointed cause I know he was tired and furthermore I wanted to watch the movie in Central. :P
But, the door opened and I saw my dad singing Happy Birthday with candles lit at the back. And, I realised he was not alone, it was baby who was carrying it!! That pig had actually lied to me! Also, they told me that mom was also in cahoots with them! I was like OMG. My family is very much eligible for acting in Vasantham Central.
Parents got for me a beautiful card and a Lancome Perfume. Baby got for me another card with really nice touching words and a Swatch watch! Was really really surprised and touched by the gestures and gifts! Hehee.
The next day had bhajan at Yishun and then followed by a Swensens ice-cream treat for my 2nd family. But they had to rush off to some important stuff. So after a quick bite at Swensens, I got home to nap for a while. Before I know it, baby was already at home after his hair cut. And apparently, he also knocked out a while when I was napping. Hehehe. Got ready and left to Vivocity, Go India! We sat outside and the view was great, facing Sentosa. Ashiwin and his parents came soon after.
The food is a gastronomical delight. Trust me, the tandoori prawns, fish masala, lamb biryani! My god. Damn damn nice! But of course, to get good food you've got to fork out the money though I thought was quite reasonable.
Received a pair of white gold earrings and clock from Ashiwin's parents and uncle. Both essential items for me and my room! How apt! Hahaha. The cake Ashiwin's parents bought was gooood! And so was yours baby! Muacks! Again, these are just some of the photos taken. Most of it can be found in facebook.
Overall, my birthday was filled with happiness and I managed to meet all those who are important me. That was what made it even more fulfilling. Thanks to everyone who remembered and wished me. :)
Attended my orientation on the 29th. Found it ok. No games nothing. Just a brief introduction on what we will be learning and stuff. Everyone seemed to know everybody during the orientation. Met a couple of airheads girls who thought that speaking with an exaggerated English accent and ooh-ing and aah-ing over spotted ex-bfs is giggly and mature and met a couple of boys guys who thought that uttering profanities beside a girl is considered ubber cold. But then, met a nice girl on my way back. But not sure if she's in Year 2 or 3. School's starting on the 23th. Haiks. Guess I will fit in. :)
Loved the weekend. Love you more!
